Set in the heart of the Litchfield Hills, our historic property offered the perfect setting for a wedding that was as personal as it was picturesque. Beneath the canopy of our grand maple tree and in the glow of golden summer light, a young couple exchanged vows surrounded by just a handful of their dearest loved ones. There was no performance, no production—just the gentle breeze rustling the trees, the scent of blooming hydrangeas, and the quiet joy of a shared promise, witnessed in stillness and sincerity.

An Intimate Celebration, Thoughtfully Designed

Following the ceremony, guests were invited to wander through our gardens before enjoying hors d'oeuvres and signature beverages. The couple then gathered with guests for a customized five-course wedding meal inside the Inn—every dish curated around their favorite flavors. From grilled summer fruits to poached salmon, tenderloin filet, and wild mushrooms harvested just up the road at Husky Meadows Farm, each course was a delicious reflection of their shared story and our shared love of Litchfield Hills.

Our all-inclusive microwedding packages are designed with simplicity and ease in mind. At this event, floral arrangements—crafted by our innkeepers—reflected the soft palette of high summer: creamy whites, soft greens, pastel hues and smokey blues. The effect was elegant, organic, and effortlessly beautiful.
