A Celebration of Intimacy and Beauty: A Magical Microwedding at The Manor House Inn

Microweddings & What Matters Most

There are moments when time seems to pause—when the presence of love, nature, and intention come together in a way that feels both sacred and deeply human. This July at The Manor House Inn in Norfolk, Connecticut, we had the honor of hosting a microwedding that embodied all of this and more.

Set in the heart of the Litchfield Hills, our grounds offered the perfect canvas for a ceremony that was as personal as it was picturesque. Beneath our grand Maple Tree and under a soft golden light, the couple exchanged vows with just their closest loved ones beside them. There was no rush—only the gentle rhythm of the breeze and the quiet joy of being fully present.

Afterward, guests enjoyed capturing the moment in photos outside on our beautiful grounds, followed by a custom five-course meal curated entirely around the bride and groom’s favorite flavors. From grilled summer fruits, to poached salmon, tenderloin filet and wild mushrooms from nearby Husky Meadows farm, each course was a love letter to their shared story. The flowers—arranged by the owner—reflected the palette of the season: soft creams, lush greens, pretty pinks, and bursts of summer color. Everything was included in one simple, all-inclusive package, intentionally designed to eliminate stress and allow the couple to simply enjoy their day.

But beyond the beauty, beyond the ease, there is something else we aim to offer here: a sense of wellbeing. As we all know, the most joyful people are those who make space for connection, gratitude, and meaningful ritual. A microwedding, by its very nature, invites this. It slows the pace. It prioritizes intention over spectacle. And it offers couples the space to savor—not just the moment, but each other.

Our team is small, and that’s by design. We are attentive, and value truth, beauty and excellence. This doesn't mean we aspire to perfection, but simply to offer warm and attentive hospitality by noticing what matters most. We believe that hospitality is most powerful when it is grounded in care—when it supports not just celebration, but restoration.

At The Manor House Inn, we’re not just creating weddings—we’re helping to shape beginnings.

If you’re longing for a celebration that is heartfelt, nature-rich, and beautifully simple, we would be honored to welcome you here.
