Breakfast

Begin your day with a thoughtfully prepared two-course breakfast, served in our sunlit dining room with food prepared by Johnson & Wales-trained Chef Fell Cadwallader, who draws inspiration from the seasonal bounty available at local farms and markets.

Each morning we feature a starter and entrée crafted from fresh ingredients, typically alternating between sweet and savory options. Guest favorites include pain perdu, Manor House eggs grain bowl, vegetable and herb frittata topped with crumbled goat cheese, and whole grain waffles with fruit compote.

We are happy to accommodate a variety of dietary preferences, including gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian options with advanced notice. Kindly share any specific needs when reserving your stay.

Breakfast is served at intimate tables for two, with guest-selected seating times available between 8:30 and 9:30 am. Service continues through 10:30 am.

Refreshments

Available 24 hours a day, our refreshment nook offers a welcoming space to pause and indulge at your leisure.

Enjoy a curated selection of Harney & Sons fine teas, Keurig coffee, and a rotating array of light snacks. Options may include fresh apples and oranges, gourmet chocolates, mixed nuts, and our signature house-baked treats—prepared fresh daily.

You will also find a mini-fridge, microwave, wine glasses, corkscrews, dining smallware, and a water cooler featuring Berkshire Springs water.

Whether you're starting your day early or returning from an evening stroll, the nook is always open to nourish and delight.

Greater Good Supper Club

On select evenings, the Greater Good Supper Club gathers up to 36 guests around a shared table — a curated dinner built from local and seasonal ingredients, accompanied by conversation with the farmers, naturalists, creators, musicians, and thinkers who are quietly doing the work of sustaining this corner of Connecticut. It is not restaurant dining. It is something older and more nourishing than that. It is closer to being welcomed as a special guest at a thoughtful dinner party hosted by people who believe that a good meal, shared with intention, is one of the oldest and most meaningful ways that human beings can gather to reaffirm what matters most, recognizing that the quality of our conversation is inseparable from the quality of our common life.

Nosh Menu

The Nosh Menu at Manor House Inn Norfolk begins where all good hospitality begins — with an earnest relationship to place. Every board and bowl draws inspiration from the farms, foothills, and gardens of the Litchfield Hills: Connecticut producers like the Garlic Farm, Arethusa, and Nodine's Smokehouse, alongside herbs harvested steps from the kitchen, transformed through house-made infused oils and compound butters into something that carries the unmistakable signature of this particular landscape. It is food designed not for spectacle but for the unhurried pleasure of sharing — simple, beautiful, and quietly rooted in the belief that what we eat, and how we eat it together, is one of the most meaningful ways to deepen our connection to the places we inhabit.
